Davao is the most populous city in Mindanao and the third largest city in the Philippines. Known for its bustling economic activities, urban build-up and modern amenities, Davao City is one of the most important economies in the island, and the third most important urban center in the Philippines.
As a born and raised citizen of Davao, I have already went to different places. What I am about to share with you are some of my favorite places to go in my city.
EDEN NATURE PARK & RESORT
Eden Nature Park is one of the most popular and most visited mountain resorts that offers a plethora of exciting things to do and heart pumping adventures.
HOW TO GET THERE?
From downtown just simply ride a Toril jeep. You can find them at Aldevinco, Roxas (in front of Ateneo de Davao University), near UM Bolton, or at SM Ecoland. (Fare: Php 25)
Inform the driver to drop you off at Mercury drug in Toril. Once you’re at Mercury drug, ride a tricycle going to Eden Nature Park.

MUSEO DABAWENYO
The Museo Dabawenyo is one of the Divisions under the City Mayor’s Office of the City Government of Davao established through City Ordinance No. 0266-06 Series of 2006. It is being run in collaboration with the private sector. It is a “people’s museum” and its programs are geared towards better historical and cultural awareness, understanding and integration.
HOW TO GET THERE?
Museo Dabawenyo is currently located at the University Avenue, Juna Subdivision, Matina. You can ride a jeepney from downtown or grab a taxi.
SCHEDULES/RATES:
It is open from Tuesday to Sunday at 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, and 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It is closed on Mondays for maintenance works and during Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Black Saturday, Easter Sunday, All Saints Day, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. Admission is FREE to the viewing public.
